Tombeau sur la mort de M. Comte de Logy -Silvius Leopold Weiss (1687-1750) By Valérie Duchâteau-We owe to Weiss some 600 works, including this Tombeau composed in 1721, in memory of the lutenist Johann Anton Losy von Losimthal, alias Count Logy. Weiss became friends with this man during a stay in Prague in 1717. In B minor, on a slow tempo, this Tombeau is one of the flagship pieces of the guitar repertoire belonging to the Baroque era. The difficulties are concentrated in the numerous extensions and ornaments for which we offer you an explanatory table located at the end of the score.
